Business Development Inquiries

The SoCal Entertainment & Media Company is open to producer, investor and business development inquiries.  While we are not publicly seeking partners, producers or investors, we are happy to listen to proposals that make sense.

We have a unique model for our projects where producers can get involved at the ground level, or investors can finance an entire project.

If you would like to submit an inquiry, all information is private and it is understood this inquiry is for review purposes only and does not constitute an investment, a partnership, or a business agreement.

B. Luciano Barsuglia is the owner and founder of the SoCal Entertainment and Media Company.  This project started as a passion ... do what you love ... right?

Barsuglia is a full-time English teacher; however, over the last six years, he has started and established a respectable and growing film festival in Huntington Beach, which has only expanded.  Barsuglia has also produced and directed two low-budget feature films, both of which sell regularly on Amazon.com and the second toured the US on the festival circuit in 2007.

The festival has found great success by growing each year and having support from local and national sponsors such as Acura, Time Warner, and Nestle.

Barsuglia's plan for SEMC is to continue to grow the festival, open a screening room for filmmakers, and offer a green screen production facility (the only of its kind in Orange County, CA).  Upon firmly establishing the facility, SEMC will again venture into filmmaking.  The primary focus will be educational movies with a commercial appeal, such as Jekyll and Hyde.  Movies that are focused on use in the classroom (most mass consumption movies lose the original meaning and make it near impossible to use as a teaching tool).  These have a built in audience with potential for a much wider release as well.
